ETpay is a Chilean fintech platform that enables merchants to accept payments directly from customer bank accounts — no cards required. Integrated with Chile's major banks (Banco Estado, Banco de Chile, Santander, BCI, Falabella, Itaú, and more), ETpay processes over 2.5 million transfers monthly and moved approximately $2 billion USD in 2024. The platform needed a frontend that could clearly communicate a novel payment product to merchants and developers while converting visitors into active integrators.
The Challenge
Cardless bank transfers are still a relatively new concept in the payments landscape, which made the frontend work especially important — the site needed to educate merchants on how the product works, demonstrate its value over card processing, and lower the barrier to integration for technical teams. Product pages, pricing, and feature breakdowns all had to work together to move prospects from discovery to signup.
What I Built
The frontend was built with Next.js and TypeScript, covering the full public-facing surface of the platform:
- Marketing and landing pages — built the main homepage and product pages explaining ETpay's core value proposition: instant, cardless bank transfers with near-zero latency and real-time settlement
- Feature pages — developed dedicated pages for each core product feature: Payment Links (shareable pay-by-link flows), Quick Transfers (instant B2B and customer payment collection), and Reconciliation (automated matching of transfers to merchant records)
- Pricing page — implemented the pricing section presenting ETpay's fee structure, designed to communicate transparent costs and contrast favorably against traditional card processing rates
- Contact and onboarding entry points — built the contact and inquiry pages as the conversion layer for merchants ready to start the integration process
- TypeScript throughout — enforced strict typing across all components and data layers, critical in a fintech context where data integrity and reliability are non-negotiable
Outcome
A fast, clear, and conversion-focused frontend for one of Chile's most active fintech platforms — built to communicate a complex financial product simply, serve both merchant and developer audiences, and support ETpay's growth to 2.5M+ monthly transfers.
