Conde Hair is a professional hair extensions brand offering a curated catalog of premium extensions — K-Tips, Tape-In, wefts, bulk, clip-in styles — along with professional accessories and installation tools, targeting stylists and beauty professionals. The brand later rebranded as Conde Professional, but the development work was completed under the original condehair.com identity.

The Challenge

The client needed a fully functional Shopify storefront built from the ground up, capable of handling a complex product catalog with multiple extension methods, lengths, textures, and shade combinations. At the same time, they had an existing inventory managed in Square that needed to be migrated cleanly into Shopify — without data loss or manual re-entry. Appointment booking and a content blog were also required as part of the full solution.

What I Built

The store was developed on Shopify using Liquid as the templating engine, with deep customization across the theme and data layers:

  • Theme customization — rebuilt and extended the Shopify theme using Liquid to match the brand's visual identity, including custom sections, templates, and reusable components
  • Metafields — implemented structured metafields to store and display product-specific attributes such as extension method, hair texture, shade pattern, and length — enabling rich, consistent product pages and collection filtering
  • Square to Shopify product import — integrated a third-party app to migrate the client's existing product catalog from Square into Shopify, mapping SKUs, variants, and inventory levels cleanly
  • Appointment booking — integrated a third-party booking solution to allow clients to schedule consultations and appointments directly through the storefront
  • Blog — set up and configured the Shopify blog for content publishing, enabling the brand to share education, styling tips, and product guides
  • Third-party API integrations — connected external services to extend the platform's native capabilities beyond what the default Shopify setup provides

Outcome

A complete, custom Shopify storefront — from product catalog architecture to checkout — built to handle the complexity of a professional hair extensions business. The Square migration eliminated manual data re-entry, the metafield structure made the product catalog scalable, and the integrated booking flow gave the brand a direct channel for client consultations alongside their ecommerce operation.
